The culmination of several years of work concluded on May 5, 2010, in Pioche, Nevada, with the signing of the Section 10 permits of the Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) for the Southeastern Lincoln County Habitat Conservation Plan (SLCHCP). Lisa Mash, from our Concord office, attended the ceremony on behalf of ENTRIX which took place in the historic Thompson Opera House and was preceded by a Dutch-Oven lunch provided by the Lincoln County Chapter of the Future Farmers of America.

ENTRIX provided services to Lincoln County, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), City of Caliente, BLM and USFWS to develop the SLCHCP, associated NEPA document, and Implementing Agreement to obtain incidental coverage for the federally-listed desert tortoise and southwestern willow flycatcher under Section 10(a)(1)(b) of the ESA from USFWS. The plan provides a mechanism to allow orderly growth and development in the southeastern portion of Lincoln County while providing conservation for the federally-listed species to ensure that incidental take authorized by the permits does not jeopardize the continued existence of the federally-listed species or adversely modify designated critical habitat.
