REACh Compliance
REACh stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals—the European Union’s comprehensive regulations governing the safe and environmentally sound use of chemicals. The ultimate goal of REACh is to protect human health and the environment by requiring a base-set of information to be established for chemicals in commerce. REACh also requires the definition of safe and environmentally sound use conditions and the implementation of appropriate risk management throughout the supply chain. Manufactures and importers of chemicals in the European Union must comply with this far-reaching regulation over the next decade.
While the name is easy to remember, REACh compliance can be extremely difficult. The registration process is time consuming, technically complicated and requires coordination among multiple parties - such as co-producers, importers, formulators, and consumer products manufactures - who all need to share information, harmonize classification and ensure use within safe conditions.
ENTRIX is well-equipped to provide clients with all of the technical expertise required to achieve REACh compliance. We have a deep well of talent across the fields of human health, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, risk assessment, and industrial hygiene. In addition, our scientific strength is complemented by chemical company experts with years of industry experience and through partnerships with firms in Europe.
As a result, ENTRIX can assemble a multidisciplinary team to provide clients a full range of REACh compliance services to support lead registrants, SIEF members, consortia and individual registrants. While many companies offer REACh consulting, few offer the breadth of resources and capabilities ENTRIX makes available to our clients.
